Terms of use

Last updated: October 14, 2026

These terms govern your use of MacSweep, the macOS app, and its services (licensing, updates and Ask MacSweep). By installing or using MacSweep, you accept them. “MacSweep”, “we” and “our” refer to MacSweep. Contact: soporte@macsweep.co.

1. Purchases and payment

MacSweep Pro purchases are processed by Paddle.com, our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle sells you the license, collects payment, applies taxes and issues the invoice, and its buyer terms also apply to your purchase. For questions about a charge, contact Paddle or us.

2. Plans

  • Free: scans, Space Lens, and update and permission checks, at no cost.
  • Pro yearly: every Pro feature for one year. It renews automatically each year at the current price unless you cancel before the renewal date. If you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the paid period.
  • Pro lifetime: a one-time payment for a non-expiring license to MacSweep 1.x and its updates. A future major version (for example, MacSweep 2) may be sold separately; your version keeps working.

Prices shown at macsweep.co/pricing are in US dollars. Paddle may show the total in your currency, including your country's taxes. If we change the yearly price, we'll tell you before your next renewal.

3. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive license, not transferable to others, to use MacSweep. Each Pro license works on one Mac at a time; you can move it by deactivating it on the previous Mac. You may not resell, publicly share, decompile, modify or circumvent the license protection, except where the law expressly allows it.

MacSweep, including its code, design and brand, remains our property. Mac and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc.; MacSweep isn't affiliated with Apple.

4. How cleaning works

MacSweep proposes items to clean and only removes what you confirm. By default, only safe items are preselected. Documents and apps are moved to the Trash. Caches, logs and the Trash's contents are permanently deleted when you approve it. Review what you select and keep backups of important data (for example, with Time Machine).

5. Ask MacSweep

Ask MacSweep is an AI assistant included in Pro, with an allowance of 200 questions a month per license. How it works:

  • Its answers are generated automatically and may contain mistakes. Treat them as guidance.
  • It can only look and suggest. Any change requires your approval on a card in the app.
  • It needs an internet connection. To answer, the data described in our privacy policy is sent.

We may adjust the allowance or the AI model, or pause the service temporarily, to keep it safe and sustainable. You may not use it for purposes unrelated to your Mac, or try to abuse it, overload it or get around its limits.

6. Updates and support

We publish updates with improvements and fixes, which the app may offer to install. We provide support by email at soporte@macsweep.co, usually within one or two business days.

7. Refunds

You have 30 days to request a refund. See the refund policy.

8. Warranties and liability

We do our best to make MacSweep safe and reliable, but it is provided “as is”, without warranties that it is error-free or fit for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect damages or data loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for MacSweep in the last twelve months. Nothing here limits the rights consumer protection law gives you in your country.

9. Termination

You can stop using MacSweep at any time. We may deactivate a license obtained fraudulently, refunded, or used against these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The current version will always be on this page, with its date. If a change is significant, we'll give notice in advance.
